Flight Through Flame
Flight Through Flame is a mixed-media paper cut inspired by a moment along the Sugar River berm trail. As I hiked, a bright blue jay cut across a dense stand of red-stained sumac—an electric contrast of color and movement. The scene felt both fierce and hopeful, like moving through the fiery moments of life and finding clarity on the other side.
This piece reflects the metaphors we encounter on our own journeys: stepping through challenge, discovering unexpected beauty, and staying attentive to the quiet signs of life around us.
16x20" artwork, framed in a 22x26" black wood frame.
